Claremont Lodge Care Home & Great Ballard School Intergenerational Project
The West Sussex Royal Bay Care Home, Claremont Lodge, along with Great Ballard School in Chichester have created a fantastic mutually beneficial intergenerational project. The project sees older people from the nursing home in West Sussex join the younger early years children from the local school to take part in an exciting selection of activities and projects.
In December, the two groups took part in Christmas celebrations together as part of the intergenerational project and during February the young children returned to the Royal Bay Nursing Home, Claremont Lodge, several times for more fun.
The little ones from Great Ballard School love creating new friendships with our elderly residents. This month the excited young visitors made animal masks, got help with sticker activities and shared their favourite books.
