We wished a happy Father’s Day to the lovely dads and grandads at our residential nursing home. This special day was celebrated with cake, music, nostalgic films and even a fun game of skittles. Our residents also enjoyed opening their lovely cards from their families, and the day was filled with laughter and smiles.
The residents have also been showing their support for England in the Euros, enjoying snacks and drinks while watching the games from the televisions in our lounges. We really got into the competitive spirit, decorating our social areas with England flags and banners as well as red and white balloons.
As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, our elderly care residents have also been spending time in the garden. They’ve been enjoying watering the plants and watching the tomatoes grow, but they also got quite the surprise when they noticed a squirrel emptying our bird boxes!
Our residents have also been enjoying our regular care home activities, from crafts day coffee mornings to live music in our lounges. With all this activity, it’s fair to say it’s been an eventful summer so far for our residents.
